Laguna Vere Design Competition

Set in current tiblisi, georgia, laguna vere is an abandoned, soviet style diving facility that was destroyed by a major flood in 2015. tasked with bringing the concrete venue back to life, our design team aimed to create a resilient temporary housing project that will serve the city when the waters rise again. remnants of the previous stadium remain above the densely planted miyawaki forests and water management basins, while an elevated loop around the site provides not only views and destinations, but a way of safe egress to the high ground for those in the flood plain.
